The 12 Days of Christmas Begins Today!

Beginning today, December 12th, until the December 24th, Five Figs is going to help you celebrate the season by offering something special each of the 12 days of Christmas!  Everyday we will have a special offering for our customers and we will post exactly what that will be on the blog (at the beginning of each day).

Tis The Season

The Christmas Holiday is right around the corner and Five Figs is FESTIVE!

We are planning a special shopping day on December 15th for the special person in our customers lives!  Local Jewelers will be here with their own little "shops" inside Five Figs. We have been receiving new merchandise from Babette, Filly, Gal Handbags, Cop Copine, and Jewelry from Sarah McGuire, to name a few... so finding the perfect gift is made easier! We will provide gift ideas, wrapping, and treats.  Mark your darling's calendar and your own!

Pam Gets Her Groove On

This great Tunic Dress from Utility Canvas has a great retro print in spactacular colors for fall! 

If you haven't picked up a dress for your fall wardrobe yet this is a great piece to consider.  It is an easy fit, fun to wear, and in 100% cotton canvas it is very easy to care for.

Find Peace At Five Figs

Five Figs Couture is participating in the UC Davis Design Museum's Peace Begins Here exhibit. 

The idea behind this exhibit began with Joshua Chen, of Chen Design Associates, wanting to create 100 graphic images of ways to create peace.  He Collaborated with Dr. David Krieger and together they have created a book of 100 images that explore practical ways to create peace. 

The images have been enlarged and are now a traveling exhibition.  Several of these images have been brought to Davis via the UC Davis Design Museum, and additional images have been enlarged from funding provided by the City of Davis Art Contract.  These additional images are being displayed throughout Davis at businesses, on city buildings, buses, and other locations. 

Five Figs Couture is honored to be part of this exhibition that brings the beauty of peace, and the contemplation of becoming part of the solution, to everyone who views these images.  You can view Idea # 72 at Five Figs Couture. 

Five Figs Goes To Paris!!

Bonjour!!!

Yes, it is true, we have gone to Paris scouting around for beautiful and interesting merchandise for Five Figs.  We had a couple of great finds that will be coming for Spring...and until then we have brought back a few treasures to share with you. 

Yves Andrieux handbags, for one, are amazing!! (see example at left).  He creates each bag in his studio on Rue Charlot in the 3rd Arrondisement in the heart of Paris.  All of the handbags are made from recycled military fabric and are then dyed, and washed, giving each bag a unique, one of a kind quality.  See more of the styles on the Five Figs website.

Jack Gomme (for website click here.) is another great handbag label we have picked up.  They are great bags that are made of super light weight treated canvas.  They are waterproof, and very user friendly.  Check out some of the styles on their website.

Also in...from Germany, not Paris...are the new Trippen shoes!!!  We have 4 new styles, all can be seen on the Five Figs Couture website.  They are all fabulous, fashionable, and amazingly comfortable.

It is important to us at Five Figs Couture that comfort is not compromised for fashion.  We want it all!  Two new labels that we are carrying have come through!  Krelwear (see photo) cuts basic pieces to flatter the figure in 100% cotton, and to make it even better, made in the USA.  We are carrying the top pictured in 3 different colors.  Check out more of their fall collection by clicking here.  Let us know what you think.

Also just in are a great pair of black suede wedges from Kork Ease.  Kork Ease have become quite popular for their amazing comfort and style.  We are hoping to carry more of them moving forward into spring.
